Vehicle, Commercial & Residential Window Tint

Once it has been applied to vehicle or building glass, window films may have a slightly hazy or cloudy appearance. This is caused by the water used to apply the film and activate the adhesive. Over the first several weeks, this cloudy appearance will gradually disappear as the film dries, leaving your windows optically clear. A few small areas of residual water may remain, but will gradually dissipate through evaporation over the following weeks.

Cleaning and Care

After Installation there may be a hazy appearance. This condition is temporary, caused by the moisture used in applying the film. After the moisture dries, the hazy condition will disappear, do NOT operate vehicle windows until your film is dry (~3 full days).

Avoid cleaning your newly installed film for at least two to three weeks, until the film has had time to completely cure and fully bond to the glass. After this drying period, your tinted windows can be cleaned by spraying with soapy water and wiping softly with a damp microfiber cloth, chamois or squeegee. Ensure that all of the windows edges are thoroughly dried.

Never use abrasive cloths, brushes or ammonia based cleaning products.

The application of sticky tape, suction cups, stickers etc. is strongly discouraged and may void the legitimacy of any potential warranty claim in the unlikely event of film failure.

Glass Breakage

Upon acceptance of the proposal provided by WTS Ireland, the client acknowledges that no claim or blame shall be made against WTS Ireland as a result of any fracture, fault or failure of the glass caused by faulty glazing, thermal stress, faults or blemishes in the glass and/or sub-standard frames or glass installation techniques. All of which the client accepts are due to pre-existing conditions which could not have been identified at the time of installation and are reasonably considered to be outside of WTS Ireland control. In some cases, a glass audit may need to be carried out to ensure glass strength and integrity prior to recommendation of a suitable product.

Insurance Cover

It’s a good idea to notify your insurance company that you have had solar or security film applied to your glass/windows, so that in the event of accidental glass breakage, the cost of replacing the glass and the window film can be covered. Insurance companies generally do not charge additional premiums for this extra cover, but it’s a good idea to check with your particular insurer to be certain.

Warranty

Window films are warranted against blistering, bubbling, cracking, discoloration/purpling, peeling, seal failure and delaminating from the date of installation, when properly installed on interior glass surfaces by a properly trained and accredited technician, for the period stated on the front of this proposal, or individually listed on the manufacturer’s warranty card.

This warranty is void if the window film is subject to abuse or improper care, e.g. picking at film edges, use of sticky tape or other adhesives, improper cleaning or water leaking through window frames.

General Conditions of Agreement

All proposals submitted by WTS Ireland are considered valid and current for 30 days from the date shown on the quotation. Pricing may need to be adjusted after this time due to pricing fluctuations from film suppliers.

Upon acceptance of this proposal either verbally or in writing, the client acknowledges that his/her acceptance forms a legal and binding agreement. The client further agrees to reimburse WTS Ireland for any costs and/or losses incurred, should the client have a change of mind within 48hrs of when the work is scheduled to begin.

Once an agreement and acceptance of this proposal by both the client and WTS Ireland has been established either verbally or in writing, WTS Ireland agrees to carry out the work within a reasonable amount of time. The client undertakes to provide reasonable and unobstructed access to the job site during normal working hours unless otherwise agreed to by both parties. Upon acceptance of this proposal, the price on the front of the page will be held binding and the client agrees to pay the full amount on the date of completion of the job.

Preparing For Installation

Our installers require clear access to the windows that need film applied. This includes removal of any window furnishings that may reasonably interfere with installation, and any other physical obstructions to the glass, such as furniture, desks, computers, pets, children and any other objects that may introduce additional difficulties to producing a high quality application.

Payment and Delivery of Services Policy

Upon acceptance of a WTS Ireland Residential/Commercial Window Tinting quote or offer, a 20% Deposit may be required at WTS Ireland’s discretion to secure your booking. The balance of any payment or amount owing is due on completion of the work, unless prior arrangements or payment terms with the individual client have been agreed upon in writing. WTS Ireland will make every reasonable effort to deliver the provided service in a timely and professional manner unless interrupted by natural events that are out of our control. In the case of any delays, WTS Ireland will maintain sufficient contact with the client to keep them informed of any updates.

Return of Services Policy

If for any reason you are dissatisfied with the product or service provided by WTS Ireland, please contact our office within 30 days.

Disclaimer

Customers are kindly requested to check with your local authorities for all traffic laws and regulations regarding windows tinting. Your awareness to such laws and regulations are expected or it’s authorize window film dealer can’t be held responsible for any violation of such traffic laws or regulations.

Vehicle Wrap & Design Agreement

This agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the parties and will supersede all proposals or prior agreements, oral or written and all other communications between the parties relating to the subject matter of this agreement. This agreement may not be varied other than in writing, executed by the duly authorised representatives of both parties. Conditions not specifically stated herein shall be governed by established trade customs. Terms inconsistent with those stated herein, which may appear on Client’s formal order, will not be binding on WTS Ireland. Client acknowledges that Client has read, understands and hereby agrees and accepts these prices, fees, charges, use of images, specification and conditions stated herein and authorises WTS Ireland to perform all work as specified. Client has also been presented with, has read and understands the colour matching criteria and has selected the appropriate method for the design. Client understands that WTS Ireland cannot guarantee the quality of any artwork that is not set-up by WTS Ireland.

Design

All designs and artwork remain property of WTS Ireland Ltd. No part of any design or artwork may be used, reproduced, distributed or transmitted by any means strictly without prior written permission of the management of WTS Ireland Ltd.

Any evidence of the use of WTS Ireland Ltd work, images & designs will be treated as theft and could lead to legal action to recover costs and damages.

It is the clients’ duty to check all artwork/designs before commencement of works begin. Any changes after approval will incur more charges.

Email Booking

WTS Ireland Ltd will provide a written quotation by email and/or on screen showing the total fee for work to be carried out at WTS Ireland premises. Quotations are valid for 30 days, unless and until the workshop slot is either booked by a third party, or WTS Ireland receives a deposit for the same dates (or part thereof) from any party. Where the customer agrees by email, or other written device to book the workshop slot, WTS Ireland will provide a booking confirmation to the customer by email or text message. The customer must pay the requested deposit or payment as defined on the booking confirmation prior to confirmation of the booking. During that period, WTS Ireland reserves the right to accept any booking for the workshop slot from a third party, where said third party agrees to payment prior to receipt of payment from the customer. On receipt of the required payment from the customer, WTS Ireland will issue a booking confirmation by email or text message, to the customer.

Where the customer chooses to amend their booking 10 days or more prior to the workshop date agreed, resulting in a change of dates regarding workshop slots, a €100 Booking Administration Fee will be levied. Where the customer alters the booking resulting in a reduction in the cost subsequent to the initial quote, WTS Ireland will charge the €100 work allocation administration Fee. Any changes to existing bookings within 7 days of arrival at our centre will normally not be permitted, but will try to accommodate where we can.

Acceptance

The customer agrees that on payment of the deposit sum to WTS Ireland, the customer will signify their full acceptance of these Terms and Conditions of booking. The customer further acknowledges that full payment of the final sum will be made prior to collection of the customer vehicle(s).

Payments & Deposits

Deposits must be made at the time of booking. A standard booking fee of 20% of the total works must be made prior to booking confirmation. WTS Ireland Ltd reserves the right to request higher deposits or waiver, as and when the management deem suitable.

The customer agrees and acknowledges that WTS Ireland will not release the vehicle(s) or any goods prior to receipt by WTS Ireland of payment in full. Failure of the customer to pay in full for any service will result in removal or refusal to supply said service.

The customer agrees to pay the total fee as shown on the quotation as set out on the booking confirmation. Final and full payment is due on collection (Less the deposit received at the time of booking). In the event of late payment, or failure to pay, WTS Ireland reserves the rights to levy the cancellation penalty percentage charges against any money that the customer has paid in advance. Where the money paid in advance is insufficient to cover the calculated percentage, WTS Ireland reserves the right to exercise any legal remedies to pursue the amount owed by the customer.

Where the customer chooses to amend their booking 10 days or more prior to the workshop date agreed, resulting in a change of dates regarding workshop slots, a €100 Booking Administration Fee will be levied. Where the customer alters the booking resulting in a reduction in the cost subsequent to the initial quote, WTS Ireland will charge the €100 work allocation administration Fee. Late payments of outstanding any outstanding balance will incur a charge of 2.5% of the total cost of works for every five working days of late payment. WTS Ireland reserves the right to change or waiver this charge if/where management deem suitable.

Late Collections/Pick ups

WTS Ireland reserves the right to charge storage of any vehicle or goods on the premises, at €100.00 + VAT for every 5 working days that the vehicle/goods stays beyond the confirmed collection date. After 4 weeks, the charge will increase to €150.00 + VAT for every 5 working days thereafter. These charges will cover insurance and vehicle movements while collection is made.

After the initial 5 working days, the vehicle will be moved and stored outside of the premises in question. Charges will still apply. WTS Ireland reserves the right to add this charge to the final payment /invoice and maintain the right to waiver these charges, as and when the management deem suitable.

Cancellation

The customer may cancel their booking at any time up to the workshop slot date in writing. In the event that the customer exercises their right to cancel, WTS Ireland will levy the following cancellation penalty percentage rates of the Total Rental Fee including deposit:

From initial date of booking up to 30 days prior to the workshop slot date 100% return of Deposit

Between 20 and 29 days prior to the workshop slot date 75% return of deposit

Between 10 and 19 days prior to the workshop slot date 50% return of deposit

Less than 9 days prior to the workshop slot date 0% return of deposit

WTS Ireland ltd regrets that it is unable to waive any of the cancellation charges above, whatever the circumstances.

Vehicle Conditions

CONDITION OF VEHICLE PRIOR TO WRAP INSTALLATION: Vehicles must be delivered to our location clean and free from grease, wax, dirt and oil. A cleaning charge of €50.00 may be applied if the vehicle is not in a satisfactory clean condition suitable for a quality wrap installation.

All signs remain the property of WTS Ireland until paid for in full. Pending payment for goods supplied, the customer holds the goods as the property of WTS Ireland and the goods must be kept identified as belonging to WTS Ireland. In the event that the customer fails to make payment, the customer irrevocably authorises WTS Ireland to remove the graphics supplied.

Prior to booking/works, paint & bodywork will have been checked and noted, advising of any unsuitable areas and potential issues or risk. These areas must be dealt with prior to works commencing, with both the customer and WTS Ireland agreeing that these areas are acceptable or accept that highlighted areas will not have any guarantees or warranties for workmanship or material quality.

Areas that have received repair, or are suspected of receiving repair, will not be guaranteed or warranted in line with the film manufacturer’s warranty statements and WTS Ireland ltd’s terms and conditions.

If repairs are to be carried out prior to any vehicle wrap work and booking, the paints must be fully cured and out gassed in line with the paint manufacturers technical instructions before any livery/wrap can be applied. WTS Ireland gives no warranty or guarantee to panels or areas that have received remedial or re-spray/smart repair work undertaken.

Any vehicle with additional damage from between the initial consultation, to the booked in date, will be highlighted and pointed out before work commences. Any additional damage needing repair will need to be re-booked but may still be charged.

Vehicles with unsuitable paint or bodywork will need the customer to sign a waiver before any work will commence, ensuring any works or materials by WTS Ireland are not liable against guarantees or warranties thereafter.

Failure to meet any of the above points or requests may result in the works being cancelled and full charge being applied.

Please note, that WTS Ireland will not be held responsible for the replacement of vehicle furniture on any vehicle where application requires anything to be removed. Some clips and mouldings are not designed for more than one fixing. WTS Ireland will also not be held responsible for vehicle badges or parts that need to be removed and/or are damaged during the application process.

Aftercare

While WTS Ireland will give the best quality of work and materials, it is the customers’ responsibility to maintain the aftercare and appearance of their wrap/livery after handover.

Keeping your vehicle clean and free from dirt will always help maintain the look of your wrap/livery like any painted surface.

Please do not use any harsh chemicals with your cleaning process to help prevent any reaction to our materials.

Allow 5 days after the installation of work before washing the vehicle for the first time. Strictly hand -wash the vehicle only. DO NOT USE pressure washers/automatic washers.

Ensure you clean your vehicle from the top to bottom, allowing dirt and water to run downwards.

Wipe spillages, diesel/petrol/bird droppings etc., from the film as quickly as possible.

Although some companies claim to have wrap waxes and polishes, we do not recommend any products 100%. If you intend to use any waxes/polishes, please try on your wrap/livery in a small inconspicuous area first.

Additional Charges

Additional charges will be incurred due to, but not exclusively to –

***Window tinting: you have to make sure you vehicle interior is free from pet hairs, and dust. If your vehicle not clean on arrival cleaning charges of – €50 per car applied.

***Amendments to design (as stated above)

***Cancellations (as stated above)

Delays

Works will be completed as quickly and efficiently as possible. In the unlikely event of a delay to any works, WTS Ireland will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from a delay in completing all or part of the projects ordered or confirmed.

Insurance

WTS Insurance has no insurable interest in any customers vehicles delivered to our premises and cannot be held responsible for loss or damage to customer’s vehicles/goods. It is the responsibility of our clients/customers to ensure their vehicles/goods are fully insured whilst on WTS Ireland premises.

Warranties/Guaranties are only valid if material is supplied by WTS Ireland and is installed at our premises.

Repeat orders or crash damage may occasionally require new material orders or productions. These may, on rare occasions, have slight colour differences from time to time, due to suppliers or manufacturers batch numbers. WTS Ireland accepts no responsibility for these issues.

Any guarantee/warranty that is in place is only valid between the paying client and WTS Ireland and strictly none transferable to any third party.

WTS Ireland offers a one-year warranty on the installation, one-year on the material applied to the windows and 3 years on the cast laminated adhesive vinyl. No warrantee on horizontal direct sun exposure such as roofs. Anything over 10 degree vertical to horizontal is considered no warrantee. The wrap warranty will depend upon the customer’s care of the vehicle and the outdoor/geographic conditions. As we mentioned above we recommend hand washing only. Avoid high pressure, power washing and be careful never to use an ice scraper on window graphics. Also avoid harsh chemicals of any kind as they can deteriorate the laminate on the vinyl adhesive. Sweeping or brushing off the windows with a soft broom and the use of a rear defroster will not damage your window wrap. There are specially designed products to clean and polish vinyl graphics if needed. Please wait at least 3 weeks before washing your vehicle once applied.

Removals

All removals are quoted separately. Wrap removal can be very time consuming we charge by the square feet and by the hour for the labor. WTS Ireland can not be held responsible for any paint damage or existing striping damage when we do a removal. Since we do not know the integrity of the existing paint job or the condition of the painted clear coat or the condition of any existing decals. WTS Ireland can not be held liable if during the removal of the wrap the clear coat is peeled back with the wrap. In some cases if you have existing vinyl stripes under the wrap, we can not be held liable if portions of the stripes get removed during the wrap removal. Over the years of sun exposure prior to the wrap the striping adhesive can become weak and in some areas the striping will come up as the wrap is removed. In some extreme cases when the wrap has been on the vehicle for more than 5 year the wrap may no longer be removable so the vehicle may need to go to a body shop to be sanded and repainted. If the vehicle requires a body shop, WTS Ireland will refer the client to a body shop and client shall be responsible for paying the body shop fees.

We cannot be responsible for damage to paintwork when the vinyl is removed, and would not advise application on a re-sprayed surface, or poor quality/rusted paintwork. Please note, our experience shows that removal of vinyl designed for vehicle wraps, from good quality, factory original paintwork, will not damage the paintwork. However, it is the duty and responsibility of the owner of the vehicles to ensure suitability of the existing surface before it is wrapped. In the event that WTS Ireland is asked to remove pre-installed vinyl, installed by a company other than WTS Ireland, WTS Ireland will make every effort to remove the existing vinyl, but will not be held responsible for any damage they may occur to the surface of the painted vehicle after removal. This is due to the fact that not all preinstalled vinyls are designed to be removed. In many cases pre existing vinyl are non-removable. When we wrap over existing vinyl strips or letters, the new wrap is so thin on top that there will be evidence that there is old vinyl underneath the new vinyl. WTS Ireland will not be held responsible in anyway if the client is not happy because the existing graphics were not able to be removed using conventional methods of removal.

Also we do not advise using non-removable vinyl on a vehicles surface. Please note, our experience shows that removal of vinyl designed for vehicle wraps, from good quality, factory original paintwork, will not damage the paintwork. However, it is the duty and responsibility of the owner of the vehicles to ensure suitability of the existing surface before it is wrapped.

It is standard procedure in our industry to wrap over existing graphics when it can not be removed using conventional methods. WTS Ireland will not be held responsible in anyway if the client is not happy because the existing graphics were not able to be removed using conventional methods of removal.

WTS Ireland does NOT engage in unconventional methods of vinyl graphics removal because it may damage the surface of the client’s vehicle. Unconventional methods include, cutting or scraping of the vehicle surface or the use of harsh chemicals that may damage the vehicles painted surface.

In the event that WTS Ireland is asked to remove pre-installed vinyl, installed by a company other than WTS Ireland, WTS Ireland will make every effort to remove the existing vinyl, but will not be held responsible for any damage they may occur to the surface of the painted vehicle after removal. This is due to the fact that not all preinstalled vinyls are designed to be removed. In many cases pre existing vinyl are non-removable. If this is the case, WTS Ireland will wrap over the existing vinyl with vinyl designed for vehicle graphics.
